Socially Acceptable?

I didn't realize that staying indoors waiting for the sun to shine would cause my children to become socially inept. Apparently I've bred a nude (Picture not included - Thanks Gabby), a nose-picker and one who thinks everything is food!



Don't even want to know what is up there!

Running Reunion!

We had so much fun at the Sound to Narrows run in Tacoma this weekend! It was a worthy memorial to Grandma Raquel and a great way for the Tacoma Dyers and Vancouver Dyers to hook up.

Gabby's Special Day!

Gabriella celebrated her 4th birthday yesterday! We had a strawberry shortcake party--sooo nostalgic!

Father and Sons

Here are my boys on their first father and sons campout! I wasn't there to enjoy the campfire, crickets and sleeping under the stars. But it wouldn't be a camping without realizing you left your food at home, your air mattress deflating, and waking up at 5 am on a Saturday. Good thing your kids don't remember those parts! Hyrum had a ball!

Future Gardeners of America

Hyrum was our helper last weekend when we put in some jasmine to climb up the lattice along our fence. Playing outside and helping dad are one of his favorite past times. Plus he got to wear his favorite shoes! You can't really see them, but there are dinos on the sides, eyes on the top of the foot and teeth around the toes. He LOVES them and wears them everywhere! He will dig up rocks and play in the dirt till he comes across any creepy crawly bugs which he is terrified of. Then he yells from the house to watch out for the bugs! I guess dinosaurs can't protect you from bugs. Recently, Doug told him there were bugs on the kitchen floor and he wouldn't walk on it for the entire day. We love him and the helper that he is around the house. Thanks Hyrum looks and smells yummy!

Gabriella Lacher

Gabriella was tagged by her cousin so i am going to share 7 randoms about her and then tag a few others to do the same...here goes:

1. Gabby is totally a bruiser and never afraid to try anything new when it comes to swinging from the bars at the park or jumping off of everything...mostly my furniture! She is really tough and thank goodness because

2. She is a klutz. If there is a feather on the ground, Gabby will trip on it. In fact, if there is nothing on the ground she will trip on it.

3. Gabriella loves nature and animals. We are frequent visitors to the zoo and pet store where we can admire all our furry friends.

4. Being a big sister is one of her favorite things. She is very smothering...I mean, mothering to her younger siblings.













5. She has many nicknames including but not limited to: Gabby (of course), Gabs, G, G child, Goose, Gabby-Roo, and Roo.

6. Green beans and jello are some of Gabby's favorite foods.

7. Gabriella loves to swim. When she was two, she jumped into the pool without water wings several times and had to be rescued by Doug or myself. I think Doug had to go in with his clothes on once!
