Do you like Flock of Seagulls?

LaurieAnn's hair was so funny today while we were getting ready for bed.

She loves to dress up in everyone's clothes, and modeled my workout shirt while I was folding laundry. (I do comb my girls' hair I promise!)

I let the kids make their own pbj the other day and they loved it.

I loved that I had an extra ten minutes to make something yummy for myself.

music tag

My sister sent me this tag on facebook. I thought it was fun to see what people listen to. I didn't use itunes, I used my mp3-which I only use when I workout so bear that in mind.

1. Put Your iTunes on Shuffle.
2. For each question, press the next button to get your answer.
3. You must write down the name of the song no matter how silly it sounds!
4. Put any comments in brackets after the song name.
5. Tag at least 10 friends.
6. Anyone tagged has to do the same, because pointlessness spreads like a virus.

Something I want for Summer

When you can't have a boat, this will do. Maybe before we hit the beach this summer, huh?

St Patty's Day Celebration

St. Patricks Day is a favorite because it is my beloved sister's birthday. (Please forgive the old photo, I forgot to take a picture of the birthday girl at our lunch.) Just wanted her to know she is my BFF and so awesome. I can't believe we spent SO MANY years apart and we are still close. Makes living 10 minutes away so great. Sorry this post is a day late, but Happy Birthday anyway.

A few random things about my sister:

1. She can fit her fist in her mouth-which nobody believes until she actually accomplishes that.

2. She loves R & B (yep) and gave me my first mix tape. Although she copied it from the tape a boyfriend made for her, it was still special for me. I have memories of falling asleep to those sappy Chicago and later Boyz 2 Men love songs.

3. She likes wonderwoman. ha ha

4. She is wonderwoman. And a great mother, sister, friend and example for me me to follow. Love ya sis. Hope it was a good one!

simple pleasures

A homemade roll and homemade strawberry jam make a rainy day so much better.

WAIT! Before you roll your eyes and think "not so simple" just keep reading.

I took my rolls (which I made earlier in the week) straight from the freezer and microwaved them for a minute. The jam was made in June (or July I can't remember) with my sister. It definitely took all afternoon, but we made enough to enjoy all year.

My point: Good preparation always pays off in the end.

My new do!

Many of you have already seen my sassy new cut. This is for all of you who haven't. I love my hair now. I seriously feel like a new person.

And I just wanted to tell you all I have the best stylist and friend. We have 20 years worth of memories; less to do with styling my hair so fabulously and more to do with camping trips and chasing boys. Not everyone can say they have someone that has seen them through the joy of childhood, the freedom of adolescence, falling in love and bringing their own children into the world. Or even just someone you can count on at a moments notice. Callie is one of those people and I just want to say thanks for being there forever.

Favorite Memories of Callie (and family of course):

"BOOM - it was lit"

"He kisses like a turtle...a snapping turtle"

Cove Palisades 1990

Dog Mountain

Someday I would like to hike this again. It is a beautiful view of the Columbia Gorge

Dance Festival

Logan's Eagle Project

Provo

- One of Callie's boyfriends tipping the canoe with my dad in it.

This is my favorite

-Callie falling through the ice at Sunriver and then screaming "I can't swim!" in 6 inch deep water.

Conclusion: Good friends are the best.
