Eloise is 2 years old!

Eloise had her 2nd birthday.  I can't believe how the time with her has flown.  She is getting smart and doing more grown up things.  She is talking really well now.  I just love her little voice.  I gasped at how much she can really talk the other day when she said, "Help me, I can't open this."  

I should have taken a picture of her gorgeous hair.  It is the longest of the girls at this age.  Gabby braided it for her birthday.  

Eloise was thrilled with her new scooter and helmet so she can keep up with her brother and sisters.  She already has it figured out and loves to zoom around the kitchen table.  (Yes, I let her ride it in the house sometimes.)

I tried a new cake for the party.  They are ice cream cone cupcakes.  She loved hers.  Although she had already eaten two before the festivities began because, well, it was her birthday and we had so many.

I just love this picture of her blowing out the candles.  Note the dimple.  She is adorable.

Golden Skate

The kids had a party at Golden Skate.  Rollerskating was a new experience for them, but they had a lot of fun with Dad.

Grandma's Glider

When the cat's away the mice play!  Doug was out of town last week, so I needed a project to keep me busy.  

I have this old glider rocking chair that my Grandma gave me several years back.  Not in love with the forest green, but wanted to keep it because it's sentimental.  I needed something to brighten up this corner by the piano.  Yellow did the trick!  I love how it turned out.

And of course a pillow to tie it all together.
