Sand Dunes in Oregon

I didn't post an exact location because honestly I don't know quite where we were.  Somewhere near Coos

Bay.  Wherever we were, it was fun.  We hiked about 1/2 mile or so along a trail to find the dunes.  Once we arrived, the kids raced to the top.

They were so dizzy from rolling down they could hardly pick themselves up.  It was hilarious.

Art Show

Hyrum has a passion for all kinds of art, especially drawing.  He spends hours working on pieces to be displayed throughout the house and to give to friends.  He likes things to look realistic, but also has a very creative imagination.  He once drew a picture of himself being carried away by balloons.

Hyrum's artwork was chosen to be displayed at an art show put on by the school district at the local library.  He was the only kindergartner selected from our elementary school.  

This is something he worked on during Art Discovery time.  It is a snow scene they created using geometric shapes and painting with q-tips.  He has always been very detailed in his artwork, and pays close attention to the little things.  

He was thrilled to participate in the art show this year!  When he grows up he wants to be able to draw "buildings and parks."

Doug's Birthday!

For Doug's birthday, we went downtown with the Baldwins and Hills.  Doug and Casey almost share a birthday, so we love to celebrate together.  We went to Henry's Tavern and for some yummy food and shared desserts.

Haircut

Eloise's hair has been getting so long.  Gabby loves to braid it, but it is all different lengths.  So it is time for her first haircut.  

She sat very still to have her hair styled.

Love the new do!  I wish I took a picture of what happened 10 minutes later.  Callie gave her a popsicle and she rubbed it all over her face and hair.  It was sticking straight out every direction because of the hairspray. So Funny!

Hyrum has been losing teeth like crazy!  He is a superman and sits still and quietly to have his teeth pulled.  This is the first one on the top to go!
