Haircut

Eloise's hair has been getting so long.  Gabby loves to braid it, but it is all different lengths.  So it is time for her first haircut.

She sat very still to have her hair styled.

Love the new do!  I wish I took a picture of what happened 10 minutes later.  Callie gave her a popsicle and she rubbed it all over her face and hair.  It was sticking straight out every direction because of the hairspray. So Funny!

Hyrum has been losing teeth like crazy!  He is a superman and sits still and quietly to have his teeth pulled.  This is the first one on the top to go!

5 more girls

I have missed having chickens and especially fresh eggs since our chickens went the way of the earth in December.  The feed store finally had chicks so we can get started again and will have eggs by the end of the summer.  I love having chickens because they are so easy and I love the life lessons it teaches the kids.  We got two barred rocks, and 3 that are a cross between rhode island reds and barred rocks.

LaurieAnn is definitely the animal lover of the family.  She is so smothering--I mean loving-- that animals have a hard time breathing.   Here she is abusing holding one of the chicks.

The Easter bunny always brings flip flops just in time for spring!

Eloise is 2 years old!

Eloise had her 2nd birthday.  I can't believe how the time with her has flown.  She is getting smart and doing more grown up things.  She is talking really well now.  I just love her little voice.  I gasped at how much she can really talk the other day when she said, "Help me, I can't open this."

I should have taken a picture of her gorgeous hair.  It is the longest of the girls at this age.  Gabby braided it for her birthday.

Eloise was thrilled with her new scooter and helmet so she can keep up with her brother and sisters.  She already has it figured out and loves to zoom around the kitchen table.  (Yes, I let her ride it in the house sometimes.)

I tried a new cake for the party.  They are ice cream cone cupcakes.  She loved hers.  Although she had already eaten two before the festivities began because, well, it was her birthday and we had so many.

I just love this picture of her blowing out the candles.  Note the dimple.  She is adorable.
